Property Description
Located in the centre of the beautiful city of Antwerp, we can offer a fantastic hostel with house-styled rooms. 'Rock concern de rots' consists of a bar with live performances, a shop and the first Hard Rock Hostel in Belgium. Don't be afraid, we don't play loud music at the rooms , it's just the theme of the hostel. All the rooms are decorated in a rock and roll style.
You normally cannot book a room at our hostel, but you book a bed. In the style a youth hostel works. Of course, if you are with a few people, we will try to accomodate you together if possible.
We don't offer lots of facilities ourselves, but near us is everything you can think of, shops, bars, touristic information, everything!

Reviews & Ratings Lynsey from England stayed here on 26th August 2010 There was no-one on reception to meet us and at first I were told by the bar staff that as there were no staff from the hostel around I would have to find somewhere else to stay. This was late at night. They did let me in in the end though and I can understand why they were a little angry as there were no staff around most of the time. There was also a problem with bed bugs.
However, the location couldn't be more central and the showers were fairly clean with hot water. | Couple 25-30 | caritoponton7242 from Argentina stayed here on 22nd August 2010 No hay recepción. | Mixed Group 25-30 | jandorscheid5619 from Germany stayed here on 19th August 2010 this hostel is a bit of an interesting experience if you aren't totally into rock, metal or goth. non the less staff is extremely friendly, helpful and very much concerned about the guests well being. clean and comfortable beds as well as fresh linen. good value for money. would stay again! | | ap3094 stayed here on 10th August 2010 Okay for the price. Bring your own towel and soap to the bathroom, though, because there is no soap or towels provided. The floors in the bathroom were pretty dirty too, so I'd bring a pair of shower shoes. | | davidinaferrari2538 stayed here on 31st July 2010 The hostel is quite clean, good beds and the location is absolutely the best; next to Antwerp's funnest square. You shouldn't be coming here for sleep though. The hostel itself isn't very loud, but there is no ventilation in the room so the balcony doors have to stay open. Then there are pubs next door so it is very noisy outside untill 9AM. Hence: no sleep.
The security is a joke. Staff told me the front door is left open because the same staff keeps losing all the keys. So anybody can get in! | | localboy8959 stayed here on 28th July 2010 A joke of a hostel which seems to be an insignificant extension of the downstairs bar. There were no identifiable hostel staff and no reception. Even the bar staff, pleasant as they were, didn't seem to have a clue about the hostel.
Security was a major issue as the main door which is accessed from the main street is left open all night meaning anyone could walk in. We also had to pay a 50 euro deposit because "a lot of rooms have been trashed recently". Avoid. | | danlwilliams4262 from USA stayed here on 18th July 2010 I would say that this hostel is new and going through growing pains. Curt" was extremely helpful and showed me my room. The rooms and the bathroom appear clean. But I am not convinced the linens and were changed from the night before. The garbage bin had not been changed either. The bathrooms were not the cleanest and reminded me of the "dive bar" bathrooms I visited back home. The rooms were quiet given the music downstairs. But I was literally eaten alive by mosquitoes during the night. | Male 31-40 | henryoke stayed here on 17th July 2010 - Reception on the bar
- 50 € deposit but we pay on check-out
- 2nd floor, no lift, unlocked building
- noisy all night long (from street, bar or other guests)
- messy management (they put 5th guy in my 4-bed room)
- I couldn’t check out at 7 am Sunday since the bar was closed (only open from 2 pm). So I walked around the hostel while checking it again and again. At 9:30, I saw the cleaning service guy entering the bar. I asked him to help me with the check-out and he gave me back my 35 â | | nickohde7177 from USA stayed here on 13th July 2010 The heavy metal theme is a little scary at first, if that's not your thing, but the staff is super friendly, it's cheap, and it's in a great location! | Male 18-24 |
